NATURE AND CONSERVATION EDUCATION
CIGENRL 212
This course is designed to help students develop the content knowledge, theory and strategies teachers need to incorporate nature pedagogy into their teaching practices so that children will grow up understanding the human impact on the environment and how to be helpful stewards of it. This course fulfills the conservation requirement for teacher licensure in Wisconsin.
PEDAGOGICAL TRANSLANGUAGING ACROSS CONTENT AREAS
CIGENRL 330
In this course, students will develop the skills for utilizing pedagogical translanguaging across multiple content areas and grade bands. This includes translanguaging in relationship to disciplinary content knowledge, translanguaging as part of literacy instruction, and translanguaging as part of formative and summative assessment practices.
