HE0201HE0201 Common Read: Jenny Odell, How
In How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy, the artist and writer Jenny Odell invites readers to step back from the relentless demands of the attention economy and reconsider what it means to engage meaningfully with the world. In a culture defined by distraction, productivity metrics, and constant connectivity, Odell argues for practices of attention, observation, and care—toward ourselves, others, and our environments. This Common Read will engage analytically and personally with Odell’s critique of the commodification of human attention.
