HE0105HE0105 QUEERING SEX WORK
In this course, we will analyze sex work from a queer theoretical perspective, using sex workers as a lens through which we can deconstruct marginalized sexuality, race, gender, and class in local and global contexts. This course will cover four themes: Legalized sex work and its laborers, criminalization of sex work and the rise of state powers, globalization and changes to sex worker trafficking, and calls for decriminalization and sex worker rights movements.
