Psychology 455
An advanced course on social and personality (trait) psychology that considers topics in social thinking, including attitudes, attributions, biases, cognitive dissonance, diffusion of responsibility, nonverbal decoding, prejudice, and social comparison and including social-cognitive traits such as attributional complexity and need for cognitive closure. There will be a focus on applications and on evaluating major debates in the social-cognitive research literature.
Other Requirements: PREREQ: PSYCH 216 AND (PSYCH 304 OR PSYCH 355)
