The study of mechanics, heat, wave motion, and sound. Recommended for physical sciences and engineering majors. Three hours of lecture, one hour of discussion, and three hours of lab per week or equivalent.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: PRIOR COMPLETION OR CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT IN MAT 221 UNREQ: A STUDENT MAY EARN CREDIT FOR ONLY ONE OF PHY 141 OR PHY 201
