TEACHING TECHNIQUES FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

This course will examine the characteristics of the young learner (four- six years of age) from a whole-child perspective with emphasis on children’s physical, language, and cognitive development and needs. Learning theories as applied to this age range will be explored, developmentally appropriate curricula in all content areas will be developed with the deliberate integration of intentional play, expressive arts, social-emotional learning, diversity, and authentic assessment.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: ADMITTANCE TO BAAS EDUCATION EMPHASIS (FOTE TO K-9)
