NATURE AND CONSERVATION EDUCATION
CIGENRL 212
This course is designed to help students develop the content knowledge, theory and strategies teachers need to incorporate nature pedagogy into their teaching practices so that children will grow up understanding the human impact on the environment and how to be helpful stewards of it. This course fulfills the conservation requirement for teacher licensure in Wisconsin.
CURRENT TOPICS IN EDUCATION
CIGENRL 410
An in-depth examination of a single current topic of interest to preservice teachers seeking licensure in Early Childhood through Grade 12. Topics will vary from semester to semester, and may include, for example, discussions of national curriculum standards for school subjects, assessment issues, intervention, etc.
INDEPENDENT STUDY
CIGENRL 498
Study of a selected topic or topics under the direction of a faculty member. Repeatable.
