This course is for students interested in learning about the history and culture of Latin America through film and other media. It focuses on the development of students' receptive and expressive language skills, as well as an in-depth study of the specific historical and cultural contexts pertinent to each film. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the history and culture of various regions of Latin America, while expanding their ability to communicate complex thoughts, ideas, and concepts in both written and spoken Spanish. The course is taught in Spanish, but films may also contain English and Indigenous languages.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: SPANISH 252 OR (PLACEMENT INTO SPANISH 321 OR HIGHER) OR INSTRUCTOR CONSENT
