INTRODUCTION TO BRIDGE
LSINDP 104
A study of critical thinking skills and strategies, particularly as they pertain to the game of bridge, including logical thinking, inferential analysis, problem-solving skills, sequencing, visualization, lateral thinking, memory, observation, and psychological strategies. Communication skills found during bidding (including conventional bids) and card play (signaling) will also be addressed. No prior knowledge is needed.
CAREER INFORMATION IN LETTERS & SCIENCES
LSINDP 399
Specifically for Letters and Sciences majors and minors, this course focuses on self-reflection and analysis in preparation for job searching. With a focus on lifelong learning and career development, course topics include goal setting, decision-making, resume writing, interviewing skills, and professional networking. Particular attention will be given to career opportunities, the value of liberal arts degree programs, and the various options for graduate and professional study.
