TIKTOK, YOUTUBE, AND INSTAGRAM - INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL MEDIA
Have you ever wanted to create digital content for online platforms? In this course, you will learn to create audio and video content for personal and public use. You will learn the history of digital media and its uses. You will use this foundation to create digital media strategies and to develop media for presentation on current digital media platforms.
MUSIC LITERATURE AND APPRECIATION
A guide to the understanding of music through listening experiences in the various styles and historical periods
MUSIC IN THE UNITED STATES
An introduction to music in the United States, with an emphasis on ways in which music has reflected and shaped the cultural lives and social institutions of various ethnic and racial groups. Includes study of music from pre-United States cultures, the synthesis of music from said cultures, and also styles uniquely American such as jazz, rock, and American pop music.
JAZZ HISTORY AND APPRECIATION
An introduction to the styles and forms of jazz through a study of its history, literature, cultural influences, musical structure, and prominent performers. Includes recorded listening experiences.
