This seminar gives students an opportunity to conduct qualitative sociological research as part of a team investigating diversity and inclusion on the UW-Whitewater campus. Students will conduct in-depth interviews to investigate the meanings that members of the campus community give to diversity and inclusion on campus. Students will also conduct observational fieldwork to document interactions that take place in public areas on campus and analyze these interactions in relation to diversity and inclusion. The seminar is designed to deepen students' knowledge of the process of conducting social scientific research.
