Analysis of the decision-making structure and processes of American national government, including the role of parties, interest groups, and the value preferences within American society which affect the formation of public policy.
INTERNATIONAL POLITICS

Global theories, institutions, issues and debates in international politics since the end of the Cold War, including terrorism, cultural, environmental, religious conflict and changing power relations. The course looks at the impact of social, economic and technological changes and the evolution of the state system internationally. Cooperative problem-solving and peace-making.
