A natural Sci. course describing the alteration of the physical Env. with the resulting effects on air, water, soils, vegetation, animal life & humans. Field trip(s) may be required. Geo 130 meets DPI requirements for Env.al education at some UW baccalaureate institutions.
GEOGRAPHY OF WORLD ENERGY
GEO 277
A geographically-based overview of non-renewable & renewable energy on a global scale. Human innovations that may provide opportunities for a more sustainable energy future are emphasized. Socioeconomic & Env.al implications of its recovery, distribution, & use are explored for each type of energy resource. Prereq: One Sem. of college work.
