TRIO INTRODUCTION TO COLLEGE WRITING
ENG 097
A Comp. course focusing on the conventions of academic writing, the composing process, critical thinking, & critical reading. Emphasis will be on reading & writing activities designed to prepare students for successful transition to college-level writing. This course is offered by a campus TRIO program.

A Comp. course focusing on the conventions of academic writing, the composing process, critical thinking, & critical reading. Emphasis will be on reading & writing activities designed to prepare students for successful transition to college-level writing.
WRITING STUDIO
ENG 099
A small group & individualized instruction course that helps students develop college-level writing & critical reading skills. Emphasizes writing process strategies. Taken concurrently with a Comp. course or another writing-intensive class.
INTENSIVE COLLEGE WRITING AND READING
ENG 100
An intensive introduction to college writing and reading for students with appropriate placement scores. Emphasis on textual analysis of a variety of genres (both fiction and nonfiction), critical argumentation, the writing process, conventions of academic prose, and improvement of grammatical control and proofreading skills.
COLLEGE WRITING AND CRITICAL READING
ENG 101
A Comp. course focusing on academic writing, the writing process, & critical reading. Emphasis will be on essays that incorporate readings.
CRITICAL WRITING READING & RESEARCH
ENG 102
A Comp. course focusing on researched academic writing that presents Info, ideas, & arguments. Emphasis will be on the writing process, critical thinking, & critical reading.
CREATIVE WRITING I
ENG 203
Chiefly devoted to writing & studying one or more of the following: fiction, poetry & drama.
CREATIVE WRITING II
ENG 204
This theme varies from time to time & may be, for example, philosophical, social, political, or psychological. May be taken for credit more than once if content changes.
WOMEN WRITERS
ENG 279
(ENG 279 & GSW 279 are the same course.) A study of women writers through a Surv. of significant poetry, drama, fiction, nonfiction, &/or film. May be taken for credit more than once if content changes.
