The experience of American racial, religious, ethnic & nationality groups. The nature of intergroup relations in the U.S.. Relationship of intergroup dynamics to social change, & to basic ideological, technological, & institutional structures & processes. Emphasis on social conflict over the distribution of economic & political power, family patterns, housing, education & access to the legal system.
