Mathematical preparation for the understanding of quantitative methods in management and social sciences. Topics include sets, relations, linear functions, interest, annuities, matrices, solution of linear systems by graphical, algebraic, Gauss-Jordan, and inverse methods, linear programming by graphical and simplex methods, counting and probability. College of Business and Economics majors must take this course on a conventional grade basis.
Other Requirements: PREREQ: MATH 139 WITH A GRADE OF C OR BETTER, OR MATH 141 WITH A GRADE OF C OR BETTER

This is a web based course using Canvas. A short while before class, information will be sent to each student's UWW email address. Required additional fee of $50 per credit will be assessed for this class. Exams are to be taken in a proctored environment. Students who cannot come to campus are responsible for finding a proctor and obtaining the instructor's approval. This course requires Cengage Unlimited for textbook delivery and WebAssign, an online homework system that provides immediate feedback and support.
