Economics 245

An introduction to descriptive statistics, probability theory and statistical inference. Graphical and numerical methods of summarizing data. Probability concepts and theoretical probability distributions. Sampling and sampling distributions. Estimation, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Correlation and regression analysis. The course emphasizes the application and interpretation of statistical techniques.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: (MATH 143 OR MATH 152 OR MATH 243 OR MATH 250 OR MATH 253) AND LOWER LEVEL BUSINESS REQUIREMENT

Online BBA courses in the College of Business and Economics are charged separate tuition from the traditional face-to-face classes. The online BBA course tuition is not included in the 12-credit fixed tuition cost for traditional classes. The additional tuition charge is $389 per credit. Students must have access to the internet and an internet browser. A webcam may be required for remote exam monitoring. Students are required to purchase software at a cost of approximately $35 to get access to the digital textbook, practice problems, and online homework.
