Curriculum & Instruction Field 492
Offered on a satisfactory/no credit basis only. Designed to give the student experience in working with individuals in such settings as day care centers, nursery, elementary, middle and secondary schools. Repeatable for a maximum of 12 credits in degree.
Other Requirements: PREREQ: EDFNDPRC 210 AND ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL ED

CIFLD 492 (Field Study) will meet each Friday from 11:00 AM ' 1:30 PM. This course consists of a seminar that is closely coordinated with CIFLD 402/404 (Alternate Directed Teaching), where students are placed in local schools. From October 14 ' December 6, 2013, students should reserve either 7:30am-11:30am MTWR or 11:30am-3:30pm MTWR for their half-day Alternate Directed Teaching (CIFLD 402/404) placement in the local schools.
Students should register for 3 units of CIFLD 492 AND 2 units of either CIFLD 402 (Middle School) OR CIFLD 404 (High School).
Students must receive a grade of S before being permitted to student teach. S/NC Grading Basis Only
