Ed Foundations Practicum 210

This course introduces prospective teachers to the teaching profession, educational philosophies, and the structure of schools. It includes a fieldwork component that complements classroom instruction. Offered on a letter grade basis only. Repeatable.

Other Requirements: COREQ: EDFOUND 243 AND EDFOUND 212 OR EDFOUND 222; PREREQ: STUDENT MUST HAVE PASSED AT LEAST TWO SECTIONS OF THE PPST AND 2.75 GPA BASED ON AT LEAST 12 CREDITS OF WORK OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR

Field placement May 28, 29, 30, 31, June 3 and 4 - Placements to be determined from the following schools: Janesville (TAGOS, Franklin Middle School), Beloit (?), and Whitewater (LINCS, Washington Elem) - Class meetings: Saturday June 1st (9-4), timetable scheduled time: Wednesday June 5th, Thursday 6th, Monday 10th, Tuesday 18th, and Thursday 20th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm - face to face meetings will be supplemented by online modules. Orientation meeting is May 20th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Attendance is required. Can attend in person or done through WebEx. Must have your own transportation.
