This course focuses on the organization of the language arts program in the elementary/middle grades with emphases on common functions of listening, speaking, reading and writing as elements of effective communication.
Other Requirements: PREREQ: PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION ADMISSION. RESTRICTED TO STUDENTS WITH CURRICULUM ELEMENTARY EDUCATION MAJOR

Sections 1 and 3 of ELEMMID 422 will meet during its scheduled times from Monday, January 22 until Friday, March 9. All sections will be in Field Study from Monday, March 12 until Friday, May 4. Sections 01 and 03 methods block classes will resume at their normally scheduled times on Monday, May 7. MC/EA and EC/MC students should not schedule any other classes from 7:30 am -12:30 pm. If you register for section 1 of ELEMMID 422 then you MUST register for section 1 of READING 460. If you register for section 2 of ELEMMID 422 then you MUST register for section 2 of READING 460, etc. Student not following theses directions may be dropped from both courses.
