PRECOLUMBIAN CIVILIZATIONS

Anthropology 365

This course examines the major civilizations that flourished in the Americas during the two millennia preceding the arrival of Europeans. Civilizations in this study include the Olmec, Maya, and Aztec of Central America and Moche, Wari, Tiwanaku and Inca of South America. Consideration is also given to complex cultures in the American Southwest and the Mississippi River Valley.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: THREE UNITS OF ANTHROPOLOGY OR PERMISSION OF THE INSTRUCTOR
