Variable topics. Group activity. Not offered regularly in the curriculum but offered on topics selected on the basis of timeliness, need, and interest, and generally in the formato of regularly scheduled Catalog offerings. A limit of three credits can be applied toward the accounting major and limit of six credits toward a degree.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: GRADUATE STUDENTS MUST BE ADMITTED TO THE M.B.A. OR M.P.A. ACCOUNTING.

This course introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications to execute both sophisticated and mundane accounting tasks. The course delves into real-world scenarios where machine learning and deep learning are employed within the accounting domain. Students will learn the fundamentals of machine learning and deep learning, such as sentiment analyses and large language models and their applications. The course content will be rooted in accounting, with a focus on implications such as financial reports, audit risk determination, fraud risk determination, audit procedures, tax filings and financial forecasting
PREREQ: ACCOUNT 244 AND ((COBE MAJOR: 2.50 CUMULATIVE GPA) OR (NON-COBE MAJOR/MINOR/COBE MINOR: 2.00 CUMULATIVE GPA))
