GERMAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE THROUGH FILM
GERMAN 360
This course will explore contemporary film of the German-speaking world as a vehicle for listening comprehension, vocabulary building, written and oral proficiency, and cultural literacy. Significant time will be spent analyzing the content and context of the films based on their cultural, historical, social and political themes.
INTERNSHIP IN GERMAN
GERMAN 493
Internships are available in business, government or social service agencies for suitably prepared students wishing to pursue a career that involves foreign languages. Repeatable. Satisfactory/No Credit Grade Basis Only.
INDEPENDENT STUDY
GERMAN 498
Study of a selected topic or topics under the direction of a faculty member. Repeatable for a maximum of 6 credits in major/degree.
