PROGRAMMING FOR ANALYTICS

This course introduces students to programming techniques for data analytics. The class will cover programming techniques necessary to carry out rigorous data analytics projects, based on data mining, machine learning, and statistical methods. No initial programming skills are required. Course concepts focus on providing introductory knowledge of data analytics methods. Course tutorials teach students specific code libraries that implement state-of-the-art data analytics methods. Each week students will work on mini projects based on real-world datasets.

Other Requirements: PREREQ: ECON 703, OR ECON 245 WITH A GRADE OF "C" OR BETTER, OR EQUIVALENT; MUST BE ADMITTED TO A COBE GRADUATE DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM; MUST HAVE COMPLETED 18 CREDITS IN THE MS ANALYTICS PROGRAM
