Curriculum & Instruction Field 401

Professional laboratory experience is provided under the guidance of carefully selected qualified cooperating teachers in elementary school classrooms in the area. Students with licensure who desire recommendation for licensure by this University, must complete at least 3-6 units of directed teaching on this campus regardless of the number of units earned elsewhere.

This course involves approximately 8-weeks of half-day placements in a school. Field study students will report to their assigned school every day in either the morning or afternoon from Monday through Thursday. Therefore, when you enroll in 402 or 404 and 492, you MUST NOT schedule any other classes from 7:30-11:30 AM or 11:30 AM ' 3:30 PM. Students must also enroll in CIFLD 492-06 which meets every Friday from 8:00 ' 10:00 AM. Do not schedule anything else during those hours. Make the necessary arrangements for work or other courses ahead of time.

MCEA students SHOULD NOT schedule any other classes from 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM. because students will be reporting to their assigned schools every day during the above dates.
