INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION

This course is designed for the beginning student considering a career as a professional physical educator with a Physical Education Broadfield K-12 License or a Health, Human Performanace, Recreation major. The class will focus on the development of a physical education philosophy, career orientation, the history of physical education and sport, and the various sub-disciplines related to the field of physical education.

HEALTH PROMOTION MANAGEMENT

PEPROF 480

Theoretical considerations and practical applications of management, operations and programs for health promotion organizations. Begins with the planning, design, financing and construction of health promotion facilities. Includes the hiring and organization of staff members, the development and marketing of special programs and the administration and finance of health promotion organizations.
