This course introduces the theory, methods, and practice of program evaluation with a focus on educational and community settings. Students explore how evaluation is used to understand program design, implementation, and outcomes, and to inform improvement and decision-making. Core topics include evaluation planning, research design, and data collection methods (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed). Emphasis is placed on practical application through problem-based, team-centered learning. Working collaboratively, students will critique evaluation research and develop an evaluation proposal for a real-world program. Students will apply methodological tools to address evaluation questions, design an evaluation plan, and use findings to improve practice.
