An overview of the history and current research on educational interventions designed to challenge advanced learners. Development, characteristics, and individual learning differences of students with advanced learning needs will be explored, as will educational strategies and service options. Content will emphasize multicultural issues and how programs and services can be adapted to meet the needs of a local school population.
