Sustainability is the new mantra for communities, nations, and companies around the world. The elusive term means many things to many people, but what is at its heart? And, should we be striving to achieve it? In this course, we will explore the history and origins of the term, how it is used within academia, governments, and corporations and sort the greenwashing from actual structural change. Along the way, we will explore practical attempts to achieve sustainability and undertake an audit of our own.
