20TH CENTURY COMPARATIVE GENOCIDES

The course covers major genocides in the 20th century The course examines definitions of genocide, historical causes and consequences and contemporary debates regarding the local and global impacts of these events. The course also evaluates long-term consequences. This course is equivalent to a senior seminar and requires a 12 to 15-page research paper.
Other Requirements: PREREQ: HISTRY 200 AND 6 CREDITS OF 300 OR 400 LEVEL HISTORY, OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
